Developing Chronic Illness
I was inspired to become a Health and Wellness coach after I experienced first-hand a dramatic change in health. At age 24, I developed Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and an autoimmune disease.
Although it took years to rebuild my health through medical care and lots (and lots) of lifestyle adjustments, I am grateful for the skillsets I developed.
As a consultant for the Dysautonomia Support Network, I offer my expertise and experience to support their mission of empowering and supporting Dysautonomia patients.
My Pilates Roots
I've been a Pilates Mat instructor for just about 10 years.
My training began In New York City with LindaFit Pilates Pilates. In NYC, I landed at Equinox and built my private practice with clients building strength and recovering from injuries.
I love Pilates because of its adaptability to different physical needs and obstacles. There are endless modification options and the core principles of the mind-body practice can be beneficial to anyone at any stage of physical conditioning.
My experience includes teaching at Equinox, Healthworks, various boutique studios, corporate clients (including PUMA), and a steady private practice.
Writing and Advocacy
I share my story and information about health and wellness practices through different publications.
Writing has been a passion of mine for a long time, and I'm grateful I can use my interest in writing as a tool of advocacy in bringing to light what may not be easily or commonly discussed within the scope of personal health and well-being.
