What is a Health and Wellness Coach?

A  partner who empowers individuals to implement a personal wellness plan using science-backed, behavior-driven lifestyle modification practices.  

Health coaches do not prescribe a plan or tell their clients what to do. While health coaches are medical professionals, their greatest expertise is in the process of sustainable change. Coaches serve as a guide and partner in the client’s journey.

Coaching will help you figure out how to follow through with realistic and consistent goal setting. It's my job to understand your experience, and help you make attainable and sustainable changes.

  • Lifestyle adjustments pertaining to a medical condition
  • Establishing quality of life while living with chronic illness
  • Building a healthy relationship with food and body image
  • Exploring fulfilling ways to exercise and move

What is the process of working with a coach?

There are several stages:
  • You provide a brief background on your health and wellbeing through an assessment and 20-minute consultation call to make sure coaching is a good fit for you at this time.

  • During the first coaching session, you develop a wellness vision and identify the first experimental steps towards your goal.

  • In the following sessions, we review the progress toward your vision and goals, explore and address any issues, reflect, and then agree on a set of goals for the following week. You will gain a better understanding of yourself throughout the process.
