“Self-Advocacy for a Medical Appointment" workshop Virtual Sessions
For those of you with chronic illness or who support a loved one with chronic illness, you know the hustle it can take to get an appointment with the right doctor.
By the time the appointment arrives, the stakes are pretty high--right?
You have waited months upon months to get help and answers from this one doctor. There's a lot of hope in that basket.
So, how can you effectively partner with your doctor and get the most out of the appointment as possible?
It takes thorough preparation. It takes mind-body work to communicate through the nerves. It takes working through the emotional hangover of the appointment to take the next steps.
Week 1: How to prepare for the appointment. Week 2: How to use your voice and body to ensure you are heard and taken seriously during the appointment. Week 3:How to process the appointment and move forward no matter its outcome.
This will be a small group! Spots are limited to ensure participants have plenty of time to ask questions and participate in exercises.
